Mr. and Mrs. Anders Nelson

Here they are Anders and Victoria on their wedding day. This is a picture I took and not the professional...couldn't tell could you! Ha. Was it worth 4 days of driving?? Only for the ones we love! The drive back was a bit hairy with an icy snow mixture from the middle of OK to most of MO. We wanted to drive right straight through but the weather had other plans. I am glad we arrived safely back home but wish we could have had more time with everyone in Texas. Now it is snowing here and very cold. This morning it was -15 with the windchill. Yikes!!

I'll put some more pictures on tomorrow, when I have more time...I'm really tired and need to get some rest.

More snow!

Aren't we lucky, it's snowing again and we have winter weather advisory until 6pm. I'm not sure how much we are to get but there is about 4 in. out there right now. I believe it's here to stay until spring. Thur. is suppose to be a high of 10. I wouldn't mind it so much if I could just stay at home curled up by the fireplace with a good book and a cup of hot cappuccino, or sewing on a quilt. Ooooohhhhhh that sounds sooooooo nice! We leave for Texas in a week, I hope that it isn't snowing next week. Have a great day, whatever you are doing and where ever you are!

Some Thanksgiving fun...the kids (young adults) playing Monopoly.

Yuck, it's Monday and there's snow!

I won't boar you with more snow pictures, there was a few inches and the wind was blowing when I left for work this morning. It was a bit slick and of course as always.....COLD! Sat. I had the pleasure of driving down to Milwaukee to the Bucks game with a group of exchange students. Here are some pics from that adventure.

It's here......

It's fairyland again. This is what I woke up to this morning......so I guess winter is here now. I'm not too excited, but for now it is very pretty on the trees.

Our Beth Moore bible study concluded with soaking our feet in the bathtub as we talked about our week. Anyone who has done the "Stepping Up" study will understand. It was very relaxing.

The quilt is done!

I've finally finished Hans' quilt, this is for Christmas. I only have one more to get done now for a gift. I had a lot of problems and interruptions while doing this one, but I like the way the fabric worked with this pattern...I can't remember the name of this block. It looks better in real life, I'm not very good with the camera and our camera doesn't take the clearest pictures, but you get the general idea.

There was Great America, The museum of Science and Industry, IMax,The Shed, John Hancock and a bit of Michigan Ave. Plus a wonderful group of 21 students made it a great time!

The weekend

This quilt is finally done....I liked how it turned out! There was a soccer tournament this weekend and after we went to the Texas Roadhouse and Alex celebrated his Birthday...so there was the saddle,

the of announcing the birthday boy as he swings his lasso,
and then he gets ice cream!

Happy Anniversary Steve

Yes, we have survived 24 years. Love ya, hon!

TEXAS

I'm finally getting around to posting my Texas pictures, so here goes.....Anders and Victoria. We are all looking into the sun. I don't take the best pictures as you can tell. I stayed with the King's and that included the pets as well, I loved it! It was NOT boring, right Debra!
This is Wilbur the armadillo

Then there is Sheeva, the fawn who they rescued from the roadside after her mother was killed. She sleeps with Sara at night.
Here are the Mom's...Debra and I.

My goal this time was to get a picture of a long horn and I certainly had the chance at the Bandara Day parade where they marched them through town.
They even saddle them up and ride them!
and of course it is true....everything is bigger in Texas!!!
even a chicken car...this is for Cindy and I.
another longhorn.
It was a very enjoyable time and I miss the warmth already as it certainly has cooled down here in WI. We accomplished a lot towards the wedding plans. So we will be in Texas again in Dec. A Big Thanks to the Kings' for putting me up and putting up with me! Love ya!
